Jake Paul jokes Biden would fall ‘from the wind’ in boxing match with Trump

Boxer and social media star Jake Paul joked Wednesday that former President Donald Trump would not even have to throw a punch in a hypothetical fight between him and President Joe Biden because the latter would just “fall over from the wind.”

Paul made the joke while conducting an interview to discuss his fight with heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, which is scheduled for July. The boxer discussed another fight many are anticipating, the 2024 election, and he was asked who between Trump and Biden would be the victor in a boxing match.

“I mean, Trump wouldn’t even have to punch, and Biden would just fall over from the wind,” Paul joked on Fox News’s Jesse Watters Primetime. “And Trump, if you’re watching this, this is an invite. I know you used to promote Tyson, so I’d love to have you at the fight. Vivek [Ramaswamy] came to my other fight.”

Paul’s joke may have been referencing times Biden has fallen throughout his presidency, with some expressing concern over his age, 81, due to these falls.

The boxer also invited Trump’s son Barron to attend the matchup, telling the former president, “We’ve got tickets for you.”

Paul, 27, made a name for himself in the 2010s for his content creation on video platforms Vine and YouTube, and he started boxing in 2018. Since then, he has won nine out of 10 matches.

Tyson shared his thoughts on the matchup last week, explaining that he is somewhat afraid of the fight. However, he said he uses his fear to motivate him to accomplish his goals.

Netflix will livestream the boxing event on July 20, with the fight taking place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. It will mark the streaming platform’s first major live boxing event.
