“There’s no question. Trump is 100% responsible for Herschel Walker. I mean, it wasn’t like it was Herschel’s lifelong dream to run for Senate,” she said of Republican Herschel Walker’s recent loss to Sen. Raphael Warnock (D-GA) in Georgia’s runoff election.
“As for Fetterman, it was 100% Trump again because he was encouraging. … It was Mastriano, the guy running for governor. He was a nut,” Coulter told hosts Buck Sexton and Clay Travis, referring to Trump’s choices in the Pennsylvania contests. “His No. 1 issue — as Trump recommended, insisted on pressuring Republicans to say — was ‘the stolen election.'”
Coulter, who has voiced concern over the border for years, slammed Trump for pushing denial of the 2020 election as a top issue for his candidates rather than mass migration at the country’s southern boundary. She noted that voters consistently report wanting less immigration in polls, but politicians keep delivering more. According to her, Trump “demanded that all of these Republican candidates make the stolen 2020 election their No. 1 issue now,” despite having had a strong focus on immigration during his 2016 campaign and subsequent presidency.
“The voters are trying to tell us, ‘We are done with Trump,'” she added.
Following the failures of Trump-endorsed candidates across the country, Republican donors and voters are setting their sights on other rising stars in the GOP, namely Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who has yet to announce his intent to run in 2024.
