A passenger aboard a Southwest Airlines flight was arrested after trying to open the plane’s door midflight because “Jesus told her to open the door,” according to court documents.
While flying from Houston, Texas, to Columbus, Ohio, Southwest flight 192 was forced to make an emergency landing at Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport in Little Rock, Arkansas, on Saturday when Elon Agbegninou, 34, failed to follow flight attendant directions to sit down and was subsequently tackled by a fellow passenger while trying to pull on an emergency exit door’s handle.

Cellphone video obtained by FOX 26 showed Agbegninou being escorted off the plane once landed in Arkansas.
Fellow passenger Ding Yu said that while in the air, he could hear noise from behind him and then saw several people run past him.
“They were rushing to the back of the plane to help. I was thinking about the worst case, probably that plane will crash, but I know it’s a very low probability,” Yu said.
Agbegninou reportedly hit her head on the plane floor, and “Jesus told her to fly to Ohio and Jesus told her to open the door,” according to court documents.

Agbegninou appeared in court Wednesday, with her attorney expressing concern over a trial proceeding due to her mental state.
She is expected to face charges of assault and interference with a plane crew.
