
Christine McVie dead: Fleetwood Mac singer and keyboardist dies at 79

Longtime Fleetwood Mac co-singer and keyboardist Christine McVie has died. The band made the announcement on Twitter.
McVie will also be remembered for writing some of the band’s most iconic songs, including “Don’t Stop” and “Everywhere.”

“There are no words to describe our sadness at the passing of Christine McVie,” the statement began. “She was the best musician anyone could have in their band and the best friend anyone could have in their life. We were so lucky to have a life with her.”

McVie joined Fleetwood Mac in 1970. She took a 15-year hiatus from the group before going back on tour in 2014.
