Rapper Dr. Dre slammed Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) for using one of his songs in a video posted to Twitter.
“I don’t license my music to politicians, especially someone as divisive and hateful as this one,” Dr. Dre told TMZ when asked about Greene’s use of the song “Still D.R.E.” in a video.

The video, which was posted to Twitter on Monday, featured the song accompanied by images of herself and the process of her helping Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) get elected as House speaker.
Images in the video included a photo of her holding out a phone to a congressman with a person labeled “DT,” believed to be former President Donald Trump, on the call. Another part of the video showed a selfie with McCarthy shortly after he was elected House speaker.
The video was “disabled in response to a report by the copyright owner,” and Greene later revealed she had been locked out of her Twitter account because of the copyright infringement.
“While I appreciate the creative chord progression, I would never play your words of violence against women and police officers, and your glorification of the thug life and drugs,” Greene said in a statement to TMZ, which she posted on Twitter.

Greene was an avid supporter of McCarthy for House speaker. She argued in December that her “Never Kevin” colleagues had lied to the GOP base by not supporting him. After 15 ballots, McCarthy was elected speaker Friday, with many of the “Never Kevin” members voting “present” to allow him to obtain a majority.
