Former NFL running back Peyton Hillis remains in the ICU with increasing concern for his kidneys following a drowning accident.

Hillis, a standout member of the 2010 Cleveland Browns team that earned him a cover feature on Madden 12, was hospitalized last week after “saving his children from drowning in the ocean” near Pensacola, Florida.

The former running back remains in critical condition as concerns rise over “some additional issues with his kidneys,” according to KNWA.

However, Hillis is said to have made “minor improvement.”
