Nevada police officer injured in shooting, suspect barricaded inside apartment: Report

A police officer in Reno, Nevada was reportedly hospitalized after being one of three people injured in a shooting Sunday night.

One of the suspects in the shooting, that happened at about 7:30 p.m. local time, has barricaded themselves inside of an apartment building, according to local news outlet KTVN 2 News. Three people in total were injured, including two suspects, one of whom was also brought to the nearby hospital.

Police say the officers were originally responding to a “trouble unknown” call.

Residents of the area, an apartment complex in west Reno, have been evacuated as police work to get the suspect out of the apartment. The conditions of the suspects and injured officer are currently unknown.
