“She’s such a sweetheart, I know her. And then she sent me another song, the one that we’re going to be doing as a duet,” Warwick said on the Tamron Hall Show.

“I am very excited about this, I really am. I’ve done so many duets over the years, but this one’s gonna be very special,” she continued.

Host Tamron Hall expressed her excitement, noting the singer’s connection to Parton, who wrote the song “I Will Always Love You,” which was transformed into a smash hit by the late Whitney Houston, Warwick’s cousin.

“It was pre-ordained. You know, God’s got a purpose,” Warwick said of their link.

Last month, Parton revealed on the Kelly Clarkson Show that she buried a Christmas song in a time capsule that is set to be released in 2045.
