Pennslyvania police chief killed, another wounded in shootout

A Pennsylvania police chief was killed and another officer wounded in a shootout in Brackenridge, Pennsylvania.

“Sources tell @KDKA #Brackenridge Police Chief McIntire was shot and killed in this shooting, another officer was injured,” reporter Lauren Linder tweeted.

Justin McIntire, who had been police chief since 2018, died on the scene, while the other officer was shot in the leg, KDKA reported. The suspect was also wounded in the shootout, but carjacked a vehicle and was able to escape. A manhunt is currently underway.

Police put out a “be on the lookout” alert for a 2014 silver Subaru Legacy with license plate GMA8620, which the suspect commandeered.
