Philly’s Soros-funded district attorney deceived court to get murderer off ‘death row’

.

Philadelphia’s Soros-funded district attorney, Larry Krasner, is well known for his radical left-wing criminal justice reform policies that have decimated one of the most historical cities in Western civilization. He has repeatedly prioritized his political agenda over the law. Krasner’s idealism has kept many criminals out of jail and on the street who have wreaked havoc and terrorism on innocent Philadelphians. It’s been his mission ever since he was elected. So, the recent revelation that his office misled a court while they were trying to overturn the death sentence of a convicted murderer should probably come as no surprise.

Yet, earlier this week, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit acknowledged Krasner’s office had been less than truthful in a case from five years ago. They found that the Soros-funded district attorney deceived a court and “slanted the facts” in the case of Robert Wharton, a convicted murderer, when, in 2019, Krasner’s office sought to change Wharton’s sentence of death to life in prison, numerous sources reported. It was the latest revelation of radical left-wing activism disguised as criminal justice reform from Krasner and his disciples in the DA’s office. And like much of what Krasner says and does, it was rooted in dishonesty.

“Courts rely on lawyers’ honesty; lawyers may not mislead them,” Circuit Judge Stefanos Bibas opined. “But the Philadelphia DA’s office did just that. It conceded that a court should vacate Robert Wharton’s death sentence. Yet, in doing so, it did not comply with this Court’s instruction to investigate evidence cutting against Wharton’s habeas claim. Nor did it disclose key facts about that claim.”

The DA’s office’s actions were so egregious that even the Philadelphia Inquirer, a publication with a strong left-wing bias sympathetic to many of Krasner’s political ideals and that endorsed Krasner for a second term (despite a record number of homicides in the city under his watch) reported on the office’s efforts to “free a man from death row.”

“The Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office misled a court overseeing its effort to overturn the death sentence of a man convicted of killing an East Mount Airy couple in the ’80s, and it deserved sanctions later imposed as a consequence, a federal appeals court has ruled,” the Philadelphia Inquirer reported.

“The ruling is the latest instance in which courts have questioned one of the primary accomplishments Krasner has touted during his tenure: his office’s efforts to exonerate dozens of defendants,” read the outlet.

It would not be a stretch to believe this wasn’t the first time such a thing happened. It’s indicative of the Soros-funded attacks on our nation’s criminal justice system and how left-wing elected officials try to manipulate laws to accomplish their objectives. The Left is determined to protect the criminal class from justice instead of protecting the innocent from criminals. Legendary Philadelphia columnist and attorney Christine Flowers agreed.

“Our voices can be ignored by this DA who has an arrogance cultivated over the years and wedded to his leftist social justice beliefs,” Flowers told me. “He cannot, however, ignore the voices of judges on the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals, who stated quite bluntly that Larry Krasner had actually lied to get a man out of jail.”

“And that’s a pretty damning accusation because not only does it come from judges, but also because it no longer deals with acts of omission,” Flowers added. “The 3rd Circuit is saying that Larry Krasner actually committed an act of fraud and misrepresentation on the court. If any other lawyer had done the same thing, we might be looking at disbarment.”

Unfortunately, Krasner’s “punishment” was effectively a slap on the wrist and is unlikely to prevent the DA’s office from doing the same thing in the future. It lacked any real accountability for Krasner and his office’s goons.

“So the District Court found misconduct, directed the Office to be more forthcoming in the future, and ordered District Attorney Larry Krasner to apologize,” Bibas wrote in his opinion. “Because those mild sanctions were well within the court’s sound discretion, we will affirm.”

Allowing an extreme political activist to remain in his position after such a gross violation of the law does nothing but continue to endanger the citizens Krasner was sworn to protect. With such laughable “penalties” handed down by the court, the left-wing aristocracy will continue to be de facto activists and advance political agendas that align with their values while benefiting from the protection that comes with the power and influence of being an elected official.
