Cristiano Ronaldo signs for Saudi Club Al-Nassr at $75 million per year: Report

Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly signed a $75 million-per-year contract to join Saudi Arabian soccer team Al-Nassr.
The 37-year-old Portuguese star signed the necessary paperwork Friday, which will effectively see the five-time Ballon d’Or winner leave top-level competitive play, according to a report.

Ronaldo’s move to the Riyadh club comes after a disappointing World Cup and a tumultuous second stint at Manchester United, the club where Ronaldo initially broke through as one of the greatest players in the world.
He has completed all the initial medical testing ahead of the move, and a second set is expected next week.
The $75 million-per-year deal was first reported as a serious offer in November as the five-time Champions League winner was looking for a new club, the report noted.
Despite a desire to stay in a top-flight league, Al-Nassr represented the only team with serious interest, according to the report.

Ronaldo has yet to post any information about the move on his social media accounts, but Al-Nassr will reportedly announce the move after its Saturday game against Khaleej.
