In Arizona, Trump and Kari Lake set for 2024 comeback victories

.

Both former President Donald Trump and Senate Republican candidate Kari Lake are set to score a comeback win in Arizona after losing nail-biters in the last two elections.

New polling shared with Secrets shows Trump ahead of President Joe Biden in the key battleground state, 47% to 40%, a blowout compared to his 2020 loss by just 10,457 votes.

Lake, who lost her bid for governor in 2022 by less than 1 percentage point, leads Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) by 45% to 42%.

And if Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) decides to run as a third-party independent, Lake’s margin increases to 4 points, 37% to 33% for Gallego and 21% for Sinema.

The Rasmussen Reports/Bull Moose Project survey also showed Lake, a former TV broadcaster, leading GOP primary challenger Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb 55% to 26%.

Arizona is one of the seven battleground states in which Trump is leading Biden. He will need those in his column to take back the Oval Office.

The Biden immigration crisis is affecting the border state in a big way. It is the top problem for state voters, and it is helping to boost Trump.

The survey found that most voters support Trump’s hard-line approach to the historic crisis that has long been ignored by Biden, who plans to visit the Texas-Mexico border on Thursday.

Arizona voters are also concerned about election integrity. The state was ground zero for complaints that the 2020 results were flawed.

In the Senate race, Trump has already endorsed Lake, as has Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH). Rasmussen found that Arizona Republican primary voters, by a 51%-22% margin, said Trump’s endorsement makes them more likely to vote for Lake.
