An anti-human campaign for an anti-human president

.

There is arguably no president in the history of the United States who has done more to force the country to celebrate and promote a culture of death than President Joe Biden.

As an electoral rematch with former President Donald Trump looms in November, Biden is counting on his war on human life to save his bid for a second term as he trails Trump in most head-to-head general election polls.

In one of his first campaign events of the 2024 cycle, the president commemorated the anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the landmark Supreme Court decision in 1973 that declared abortion was a constitutional right. The case was overturned by the court’s 2022 ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which was largely made possible by Trump’s appointments to the court.

“It was Donald Trump and his Supreme Court who ripped away the rights and freedoms of women in America,” Biden said at the campaign event. “And it will be Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and all of you who are going to restore those rights for the women of America.”

Leaving aside the absurdity of “restoring” a “right” to the killing of unborn babies, Biden’s administration has gone far and beyond simply expanding access to abortion. Policies and initiatives advanced by his administration have gone so far as to persecute legally or criminalize opposition to abortion.

In 2022, the president’s Department of Justice and FBI, with guns drawn, arrested pro-life activist Mark Houck in front of his family. While Houck was later acquitted of all wrongdoing by a federal jury, the administration has arrested several other pro-life activists and has pushed regulatory reforms that prohibit pro-life pregnancy centers from receiving federal grants.

But pushing abortion is not the only way the Biden administration has waged a full-scale assault on human dignity. His administration has also sought to force doctors to perform sex-change surgeries and has sued states that have tried to protect children from life-altering drugs such as cross-sex hormones and puberty blockers.

The president is deeply unpopular, and thus, it is no surprise his campaign strategy for reelection relies heavily on galvanizing his base through a focus on matters that distract from his refusal to secure the southern border and address high inflation, the two topics largely at the root of his low approval numbers.

In a term full of failures, arguably Biden’s greatest success as president has been the persecution of the pro-life movement amid his national abortion crusade. Whether it’s attacking pro-life pregnancy centers, arresting protesters for praying outside abortion clinics, forcing doctors to violate their consciences, or demanding that states allow the sterilization of vulnerable children, it’s hard to argue with the results.

If Biden wants to share a track record of success with the public, his administration’s attacks on human life offer the most clear-cut campaign message. It’s the perfect anti-human campaign message for an anti-human president.
