Democrats force students out of school to make room for immigrants

.

Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams ordered the closure of James Madison High School in Brooklyn on Wednesday, forcing those students into remote learning so that the high school could be used as a shelter for illegal immigrants.

New York City had been housing the immigrants in tents at nearby Floyd Bennett Field, but with the heavy rains this week, Adams ordered the immigrants out of the tents due to worries that they couldn’t withstand high winds and that the airfield could be flooded.

About 1,900 immigrants were moved from Floyd Bennett Field into the high school. New York City has processed over 160,000 immigrants released into the country by President Joe Biden, only 30,000 of which have been bused to New York by Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX).

“Our community cannot handle this crisis,” New York State Assembly candidate Col. Tom Sullivan said in a statement. “Cars are being stolen, stores are being robbed, and people are being accosted by migrants begging at their front doors. The fact we are spending millions for this camp that this makes our community less safe is a slap in the face to all the hard-working families that call Rockaway home.”

New York Democrats aren’t the only ones prioritizing illegal immigrants over the education of U.S. citizens. California Democrats are considering raiding the state’s education reserve fund in order to begin paying for free healthcare for the state’s illegal immigrants.

The solution to the Biden border crisis, which is flooding communities across the country with immigrants, is to reinstate the popular and successful “Remain in Mexico” program. But Democrats don’t want to do that. They just want taxpayer bailouts instead. The New York Times reports

“Publicly, the Democratic politicians have described mounting crises in their cities. Privately, they are in almost daily contact with Tom Perez, director of the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, and other administration officials. For the most part they are not calling for the kind of severe border restrictions that Republicans are demanding, but they want help with overflowing migrant encampments, packed shelters and busted budgets.”

Under no circumstances should Republicans give Democratic cities a single cent to mitigate the problems caused by Biden’s border crisis until Biden agrees to the policy changes necessary, “Remain in Mexico,” actually to solve the border crisis.
