A book detailing the first year of President Joe Biden‘s tenure claims the president cursed repeatedly about a lack of solutions to the border crisis as a large influx of illegal immigrants continues to cross the southern border.

In author Chris Whipple’s new book, The Fight of His Life: Inside Joe Biden’s White House, he details Biden’s fury at his administration’s attempts to secure the border.

“Meanwhile, illegal immigrants kept arriving. And Biden was furious,” the book reads, per Fox News. “Aides had rarely seen him so angry. From all over the West Wing, you could hear the president cursing, dropping f-bombs (he’d always apologize when women were present).”

According to the book, one senior adviser told Whipple that Biden’s frustration stemmed from a “lack of solutions.”

“It’s like, ‘How would you feel if you were me and these were the solutions you had?’ It’s the weight of the presidency, right?’” the adviser said in the book.

Whipple added in his book that Biden was on a “short fuse” during the early days of his presidency.

“Early in his term, he had reserved the f-bomb mostly for discussions of the southern border, but lately he was using it more often,” according to the book.

Whipple’s book is set to go on sale starting on Jan. 17.

Solutions to secure the border have been shortcoming, as Title 42 will eventually expire. Biden had sought to end the pandemic-era public health measure since the spring.

Chief Justice John Roberts temporarily froze the expiration on Monday after the Supreme Court was asked to step in. The following day, the Biden administration asked the court not to end the program until at least Tuesday to allow immigration officials time to prepare for an influx at the southern border.

Thousands of immigrants are entering the United States and engaging with Border Patrol agents each day, a number expected to only grow after Title 42 ends.
