Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy responded on Sunday to CNN commentator Van Jones after he labeled the entrepreneur a “demagogue.”

Jones made his comments on CNN following the fourth GOP debate.

OATH OF OFFICE: BIDEN TOOK OUT TRUMP ONCE, BUT DID HE RESTORE THE ‘SOUL OF THE NATION’?

“You’re watching the rise of an American demagogue that is a very, very despicable person. And I literally — I was shaking listening to him talk because a lot of people don’t know,” Jones said. “That is one step away from Nazi propaganda coming out of his mouth.”

During a speech at Turning Point USA‘s AmericaFest in Phoenix, Arizona, Ramaswamy took a moment to address Jones’s remarks.

“You got this character Van Jones on CNN afterward saying, ‘This is the rise of an American demagogue who’s going to live 50 years longer than Trump. This is dangerous, I am shaking.’ That’s what he says,” Ramaswamy said. “Just shut the f*** up.”

Ramaswamy, who according to recent polls is in a distant fourth place, has challenged the narrative of the Jan. 6 riot. CNN’s Abby Phillip sparred with him during a recent town hall following claims footage was tampered with for malicious reasons. This exchange lasted for several minutes.
