Brandon Johnson is destroying Chicago in a hurry

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is not a big supporter of law enforcement, but evidently he enjoys using law enforcement privileges to make his day go by faster, even at the cost of road safety.
Johnson’s mayoral motorcade has collected 19 tickets for speeding or running red lights since he took office in May, averaging three tickets every month. That means Johnson’s motorcade owes the city $1,725 in fines. A quick look at several videos of the traffic violations shows Johnson’s motorcade using its emergency lights to blow through red lights or speed through school and park zones.

Chicago may be a dying city due to its cost of living, inability to keep criminals in jail, and blossoming financial crisis as illegal immigrants arrive for “sanctuary” when the city has no room for them. But it is hard to believe that Johnson’s motorcade is responding to emergencies so frequently as to rack up 19 tickets in half a year.

In fact, it would almost seem as if Johnson is abusing privileges given to him as mayor to break traffic laws that ordinary Chicago residents must abide by just so he can get to places faster. Then again, those traffic cameras may just be upset about slavery ending 400 years ago, or something. After all, Johnson can never fail, in his view. He can only be failed (or discriminated against).
Johnson has done almost nothing to improve Chicago since being elected, despite speeding around the city like he has somewhere to be. He is simply speeding past Chicago’s problems so he doesn’t have to think about them, especially given that he has been Chicago’s biggest problem of all for the last six months.
