And so it goes.
Singer Billy Joel has had to postpone his show at New York’s Madison Square Garden scheduled for Monday due to illness.
The “Piano Man” has been performing for the longest time at “The Garden.” His residency there began in 2014.
“I’m disappointed to share that I’m under doctor’s orders for vocal rest due to a viral infection so unfortunately, I must postpone my Monday, December 19th concert at Madison Square Garden to June. I’m so sorry to let you know so close to show day, but I was hoping to be closer to a full recovery by now. Sadly, that hasn’t happened.”
“I look forward to seeing you in the New Year. – BILLY JOEL,” the singer posted on Facebook.
Joel is expected to have a busy 2023. In addition to those monthly shows at MSG, he will be movin’ out on the road with Fleetwood Mac’s Stevie Nicks for a handful of dates starting March 10 in Inglewood, California. From there, he’ll say goodbye to Hollywood and perform shows in Nashville, Philadelphia, and outside of Boston.
Joel will also be traveling to London to perform in Hyde Park in July. Regardless of the city, it’s still rock and roll (to him).
