WATCH LIVE: House Education Committee holds hearing on campus antisemitism

The House Education Committee’s Subcommittee on Higher Education and Workforce Development is holding a hearing on antisemitism on college campuses.

The hearing, titled “Confronting the Scourge of Antisemitism on Campus,” is slated to begin at 10 a.m. The hearing is likely to focus on pro-Palestinian protests and a spike in antisemitic threats following the beginning of the war in Gaza last month.

Among those testifying will be Rabbi Moshe Hauer, executive vice president of the Orthodox Union, and other antisemitism experts.

Tensions have skyrocketed on college campuses as the casualty count rises in Gaza and large groups of students express support for the Palestinian cause. Critics argue that expressions of support for Palestinians are equivalent to support for Hamas, the militant group that rules the Gaza Strip and has been declared a terrorist organization by the United States.
