Does California have America’s first pro-terrorist city?

California is a land of milestones. Now, perhaps it can claim that it is home to the first pro-terrorist city in the United States.
Richmond, California, a city with a population of more than 116,000 people that sits 20 minutes north of Oakland, might be the first openly pro-terrorist city in the country. That distinguished title is the result of the Richmond City Council voting 5-1 in favor of a resolution that states that the “city of Richmond stands in solidarity with the Palestinian people of Gaza, who are currently facing a campaign of ethnic cleansing and collective punishment by the state of Israel.”
WHY TRUMP’S FULTON COUNTY CO-DEFENDANTS KEEP TAKING PLEA AGREEMENTS
Mayor Eduardo Martinez emphasized the lie that Israel is carrying out ethnic cleansing by claiming that Israel is committing war crimes. The resolution actually had to be amended to make a passing mention of the fact that Hamas terrorists invaded Israel and massacred 1,400 civilians. It then goes on to cite Hamas’s fabricated estimations of how many Palestinians have been killed by Israel’s response.
Why anyone needed the city of Richmond to chime in on a foreign conflict is anyone’s guess, but the least it could do is give the correct answer. A proper response would be to condemn Hamas’s slaughter of Jewish civilians, demand hostages be released, and call on Hamas to stop using its resources to attack civilians and stop hiding behind its own civilians as human shields. Instead, the city offered up antisemitic, ahistorical lies about “apartheid” and “ethnic cleansing,” neither of which apply to Israel and the latter of which is Hamas’s goal.

Richmond wants the country and the world to know that it is a city that is run by antisemites, historical illiterates, or both. It is, at best, adopting the talking points of an antisemitic terrorist organization that just slaughtered 1,400 civilians (including several Americans) and would commit an actual ethnic cleansing if it had the opportunity, which is what the Oct. 7 attack showed. Richmond’s leaders have proved they are unfit to lead at best, if not something much worse about them and their judgment.
