A transgender woman has made Maxim magazine’s list of the hottest 100 women in Australia.
The magazine released its list on Wednesday, which included Danielle Laidley, a biological male who identifies as female, at No. 92. Laidley is a former Australian Football League coach and player and was awarded a spot on the list for contributions to the AFL and transgender activism.

Laidley’s placement on the list drew the criticism of Riley Gaines, an activist working to transgender women from competing in women’s sports.
“How did we get to a point where companies/institutions/publications can do this with no fear of backlash?” Gaines wrote on X, formerly Twitter.

At the top of the list was actress Margot Robbie, who starred in Barbie, the year’s highest-grossing film. It is the second year in a row Robbie has ranked No. 1 on Maxim’s 100 hottest women list and her fourth year overall being No. 1 on the list.
