Israel war: DSA Democrats must answer if they support celebrating terrorism

The Democratic Socialists of America proudly proclaimed their support for Hamas terrorists raping, kidnapping, and executing hundreds of civilians in Israel over the weekend. It should be fair to ask members of Congress and state legislators who are proud members of the organizations if their stance is the same.

DSA announced its “solidarity with” the rapist terrorists who killed over 700 Israelis, along with Americans and other foreign nationals, essentially claiming that they all had it coming. The New York City chapter made it clear that Israel should not exist and held a march celebrating the massacre. DSA is pro-massacre, pro-Hamas terrorism, and totally fine with the rape and execution of civilian women, children, and the elderly.

ISRAEL’S ANNIHILATION OF HAMAS IS THE PROPORTIONATE RESPONSE

Democratic Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY), Rashida Tlaib (MI), Cori Bush (MO), and Jamaal Bowman (NY) are DSA members, with Ocasio-Cortez and Bowman hailing from the same New York City chapter holding a march in favor of the bloodshed. Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN) has been regularly praised by the organization. Reps. Summer Lee (PA) and Greg Casar (TX) were both members up until recently. Rep. Shri Thanedar (MI) has also been associated with the group.

Even in his “condemnation,” Casar decried Israeli “occupation” and called for de-escalation as Hamas continues to try and erase Israel off the map. Lee did the same and called Israel defending itself “retaliation.” Tlaib and Bush predictably blamed Israel for the massacre of Israeli civilians. Bowman whined about the “blockade of Gaza.” Ocasio-Cortez and Omar told Israel to let the massacre slide and pursue a “ceasefire.”

Only Thanedar, the most loosely connected with DSA of the group, issued a full, unequivocal condemnation of the attack and called for Congress to “rally behind Israel.

So long as those other members remain associated with DSA, their statements should receive no benefit of the doubt. DSA is actively cheering the mass rape, abduction, and execution of Jews by a terrorist organization that wants to do to all of Israel what it did to the more than 700 people it killed. At least nine Americans were caught up and killed in the attack as well. That is what DSA is celebrating, and that is what those members of Congress and the 50 or so state legislators associated with DSA must answer for.
