Rep. Greg Murphy alleges China has ‘so much evidence’ on Joe Biden’s corruption

Rep. Greg Murphy (R-NC) claimed that President Joe Biden wouldn’t attack China or else the country would reveal him to be “actually corrupt.”
Murphy appeared on Fox News on Friday to react to the reports of former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Anthony Fauci visiting the CIA headquarters to influence its investigation into the origins of the coronavirus. The North Carolina representative hinted that he might have done so under the influence of Biden.

“And what we’re finding now is Joe has to go to any length to protect himself from looking like he’s attacking China because they have so much evidence on Joe for being actually corrupt,” Murphy said. “And so Fauci, whether it’s related to Joe Biden or not, knew that if people knew that the virus came out of China, that his political career, his medical career would be over because he was funding this research.”
Murphy, who previously worked as a doctor, also affirmed his belief that the virus “100%” came from the Wuhan lab called the Institute of Virology, although he insisted it was not on purpose. The lab received funding from the Department of Health and Human Services, which NIAID is under.
“But it’s part of an agency scheme to protect the president and deflect the fact that Biden doesn’t want anything coming out of China that looks like he’s attacking China,” Murphy went on. “Because you know what, the Communist Party one day will rip open the page and say, ‘Here’s how corrupt the president is.’”

Fauci has since been replaced at NIAID by Dr. Jeanne M. Marrazzo, who was previously the director of the Division of Infectious Diseases at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. It has a budget of $6.3 million to allot, while now the United States has banned funding to the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
At the time of his retirement, Fauci was the highest-paid employee in the federal government, receiving $481,000 in 2022, up from $456,000 in 2021, records show. His net worth was around $11.5 million in 2022, when he left his position at the end of the year.
