Reports of increased COVID-19 cases have dominated the news cycle, and it looks like the Biden administration has learned nothing from the pandemic. For example, look no further than the recent comments of White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre. During a recent briefing, she commented about the reliability of COVID-19 vaccines.

“We know that these vaccines work, right?” Jean-Pierre said. “We know when people stay up to date with their vaccine, that works.”

DEMOCRAT DEFICITS COULD DOOM ECONOMY

Except, that statement is not true. Despite the long list of evidence to the contrary, including admissions from officials such as Dr. Deborah Birx, that the vaccines were “overplayed.” Recall Birx’s statements from August 2022.

During an interview on Your World with Neil Cavuto, Birx said:

“I knew these vaccines were not going to protect against infection,” Birx said. “And I think we overplayed the vaccines, and it made people then worry that it’s not going to protect against severe disease and hospitalization. It will. But let’s be very clear: 50% of the people who died from the omicron surge were older, vaccinated.”

Jean-Pierre once again engaged in the spread of misinformation. Again, this is odd, given that Jean-Pierre and her boss, President Joe Biden, repeatedly maintained that spreading misinformation was detrimental and endangered “our democracy.” All the statements about the perils of misinformation were as accurate as the Biden administration’s claims about the efficacy of the COVID-19 vaccines.

Moreover, from my experience, I can attest that Jean-Pierre’s statement about the vaccines working is untrue. I was vaccinated and boosted. I did so because I trusted what the government told me. I believed President Joe Biden when he said on July 21, 2021, “You’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.”

But I still contracted COVID, and so did my mother, who was vaccinated. Furthermore, let’s not forget President Joe Biden, who was vaccinated and boosted, was diagnosed with COVID. And so was first lady Jill Biden, who was diagnosed with it this week.

At this point, it’s flat-out embarrassing to claim the vaccines work. The Biden administration has demonstrated that they wholeheartedly support spreading misinformation, especially about COVID, when it suits their agenda. And, given their history of struggling to tell the truth, no one should take anything the Biden administration says seriously. They have repeatedly shown they are little more than dishonest propagandists. If Democrats had any integrity, they would hold the White House press secretary and Biden accountable for their deceit.
