In a new ad, a super PAC supporting former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley’s bid for president in 2024 declared her the candidate feared most by President Joe Biden’s campaign.

“Nikki Haley, the conservative Washington fears most,” Stand for America PAC told viewers in the 30-second spot.

The ad will debut on television throughout the first-in-the-nation caucuses and primary states, Iowa and New Hampshire.

“The Biden administration knows that they would face an uphill battle against Nikki Haley as the Republican nominee for president,” said Mark Harris, SFA’s lead strategist. “Haley is unapologetic in her strong stance against China, her pro-life beliefs, and her denunciation of poor leadership from both Democrats and Republicans. Nikki Haley will bring the fierce determination and strength America needs now more than ever.”

Reports of Biden’s team fearing Haley more than other candidates stemmed from a quote given to Politico last month. A senior Democratic strategist who is allegedly close to the Biden campaign said, “If they nominate Nikki Haley, we’re in trouble,” according to the report.

Haley was the only woman on the Republican debate stage last month and one of just three minority candidates. She is also decades younger than both Biden and former President Donald Trump, the GOP front-runner.

SFA highlighted Haley’s criticism of older politicians in the spot, including footage of her telling voters, “We’ll have term limits for Congress and mandatory mental competency tests for politicians over 75 years old.”

Following the quote in Politico, her campaign was quick to capitalize on it, framing the former South Carolina governor as the candidate with the best shot at beating Biden.

The report came out before the Republican National Committee’s debate, during which Haley was believed to have given a strong performance, according to polls afterward. That momentum quickly translated into movement in various 2024 GOP primary surveys as well.

On Tuesday, Haley even tied Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) in a new poll out of New Hampshire, one of the states where SFA’s ad is debuting. DeSantis has long maintained his second-place posture behind Trump but has begun to slip in recent months. In the new poll, both Haley and DeSantis boasted 10% in the Granite State.
