Conservative pundit John Solomon blasts accusations that Trump interview was AI

A conservative news network host has furiously denied accusations he was duped into having an interview with an artificial intelligence bot instead of former President Donald Trump.

In a 17-minute interview that aired on Thursday night, Trump spoke with Real America’s Voice hosts John Solomon and Amanda Head. However, there were several disruptions in the audio that caused viewers to speculate the hosts were speaking to an AI bot or prank caller instead of the former president.

TRUMP’S GOP SUPPORT HAS ONLY CLIMBED SINCE THE INDICTMENTS BEGAN

Several times throughout the interview, the voice became choppy, and it did not sound exactly like Trump’s usual voice and cadence, prompting much speculation on social media. However, the Trump War Room promoted the interview on X, formerly known as Twitter. Trump also posted a portion of the interview to his Truth Social account.

Compounding matters, liberal news outlet the Daily Beast published a story claiming Robert Sigg, the owner of Real America’s Voice, was investigating the interview.

Daily Beast reporter Zachary Petrizzo posted on X early Friday morning that Sigg told him about plans for the company’s investigation.

“Robert Sigg, the president of the parent company that owns Real America’s Voice, tells me that an ‘internal investigation will be needed’ into whether the network was duped by a Trump impersonator or Trump AI tonight,” Petrizzo wrote in a since-deleted post.

Solomon posted on X, denying that the Daily Beast ever spoke to Sigg.

“The Daily Beast has been told by Real America’s Voice that its employees did not interview Rob Sigg, the quotes attributed to him are false and there is no investigation,” Solomon wrote. “How long before @thedailybeast retracts this false and defamatory story concocted from the theater of the absurd.”

Subsequently, the Daily Beast added a lengthy correction at the top of its article, alerting readers that it had only spoken to someone claiming to be Sigg, not Sigg himself.

“A Daily Beast reporter had a conversation by text with a person who identified themselves as Sigg, on a number public records show was once associated with Sigg — but a spokesperson for Real America’s Voice said that it was not Sigg and is not his current number,” the outlet said.

Justin Baragona, another Daily Beast reporter whose name was on the original story but not after the corrected version was published, posted on X shortly after to echo the editor’s note. He said that “Real America’s Voice is now saying that the person claiming to be owner Robert Sigg, who told our reporter that he would be investigating whether the network was duped by a fake Trump interview, is not Sigg.”

Trump said in the interview with Real America’s Voice that he believes congressional Democrats will face pressure to impeach President Joe Biden, whom he describes frequently as the “most corrupt president in history.”
