California is preparing to send out Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program payments to low-income households for the month of September in two days.
Beginning Sept. 1 and continuing through Sept. 10, families and individuals who qualify for grocery assistance will receive SNAP benefits, run under the name CalFresh in The Golden State, depending on the recipient’s case number. For example, if a case number ends in one, California recipients can expect to see their CalFresh benefits on Sept. 1. If a case number ends in two, CalFresh benefits will be available on Sept. 2. The payment dates continue until Sept. 10, when those with a case number ending in zero will receive their payment.
