The Gathering

Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R-VA) addressed conservative voters at an annual convention in Atlanta, Georgia, on Saturday to discuss the future of the Republican Party ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

The event was hosted by talk radio host Erick Erickson, and aimed toward giving GOP candidates and other conservative powerhouses an opportunity to share their platforms with Republican voters. The talk also focused on issues surrounding Artificial Intelligence, relations with China, the impact of Christian nationalism, reigning in the federal government, and the influence of ESG investment standards.

THREE HIGH-PROFILE BILLS THE CALIFORNIA LEGISLATURE WILL HEAR BEFORE SESSION ENDS

The governor has been noted as a rising star in the party since he won election in the heavily Democratic state of Virginia. He has since brought multiple headquarters for major businesses to the state, and led the state amid its battle with parental rights in education.

Youngkin closed the two-day event, and followed Republican leaders such as Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), former Gov. Nikki Haley (R-SC), Vivek Ramaswamy, and former Vice President Mike Pence.
