After former President Donald Trump condemned that method of casting ballots in 2020, conservatives shied away from it. That’s given Democrats a multiweek jump on voting during elections. “As a medical doctor, I have always put the needs of my patients first — treating thousands of Nevada residents from various life threatening ailments,” Gunter said in a statement. “Now, the mission at hand is to put the people of Nevada first by fighting for policies that bring economic renewal to our great state, tackle crime, secure the Southern border, and put healthcare choices back in the hands of patients.”

In the video, Gunter slammed Rosen as being a “rubber stamp” for President Joe Biden’s policies, which he says are “failed” and “extreme.” He also positions himself as an ardent supporter of Trump, challenging other Republican candidates to endorse the former president in a statement.

“The fight to preserve our great country and the state of Nevada must be fought in the Nation’s Capital. We must, at all costs, protect our liberties and freedoms that are being trampled on by the far-left agenda seeking to destroy the very fabric our nation was founded upon: life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. This is why I am proud to officially endorse President Donald J. Trump and challenge my opponent to do the same.” Gunter said in a statement.

“I have often said, ‘If not now, when?’ The time is now, and I will fight for the state of Nevada so we not only have a better tomorrow, but a better future for generations of Nevadans to come,” he continued.

Gunter also touted his endorsement from former Rep. Lee Zeldin. The former ambassador enters a GOP field with NRSC favorite Sam Brown and former Republican Secretary of State candidate Jim Marchant.

Several prominent Senate Republicans have lined up behind Brown as the GOP looks to win the seat, which is rated as “lean Democratic” by the Cook Political Report.
