Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who is running for president in 2024, has expressed support for impeaching President Joe Biden as several House Republicans have called for pursuing impeachment.

DeSantis, who served in the House of Representatives before winning the 2018 gubernatorial Florida race, said the House ought to pursue impeachment, noting that “the corruption is just incredible.” The Florida governor’s statement comes after a report last week that Elizabeth Hirsh Naftali, a Los Angeles-based real estate investor and appointee of Biden, had purchased an art piece from Hunter Biden, the president’s son, for as much as $500,000.

“And I kind of think like, ‘OK, Hunter is getting millions and millions of dollars just because he’s a great guy?'” DeSantis said in an interview with Newsmax. “No, no, no, no! I don’t buy that. He does these paintings, someone’s paying them a million dollars. You know, my 6-year-old daughter does better paintings than him. I don’t see people paying her a million dollars for them, so it stinks to high heavens, and they should get answers for all of that.”

It is not the first time DeSantis has joked about Hunter Biden’s art skills, as he previously made the same joke during an interview on Monday.

On Saturday, House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) sent two letters demanding documents from the White House general counsel and Naftali. Comer is seeking any documents and communication between the White House, Naftali, and Georges Berges, who served as Hunter Biden’s gallerist.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) stated Wednesday that there is a “mountain of evidence” to impeach Biden while pledging her support to former President Donald Trump after he was indicted for the third time this year.

“Republicans need to open their eyes,” Greene posted on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, Wednesday morning. “The media is going to do their best to try to say impeaching Biden is political paybacks. That’s 100% BULL****.”

Similarly, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) stated Tuesday she had “seen enough” and wants “this guy” impeached.
