Former President Donald Trump appears likely to have his first mug shot taken if he is indicted in the Peach State.

Fulton County, Georgia, Sheriff Pat Labat said at a press conference on Tuesday that if the former president is indicted by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, as is widely expected to happen in the coming weeks, he will be subject to “normal practices.”

“Unless somebody tells me differently, we are following our normal practices, and so it doesn’t matter your status. We’ll have a mug shot ready for you,” Labat said.

When asked by a reporter who would tell him otherwise, in terms of following their normal procedure, Labat reiterated that they would follow normal practices and that the mug shot would be open to regular “records requests.”

“Again, we’ll follow our normal practices, and those that take [a] mug shot will be [subject] to open records requests, like everyone else,” Labat said.

During the press conference, Labat emphasized how law enforcement in Fulton County, which includes most of Atlanta, is ready to maintain order if the former president is indicted.

“If an indictment came today, we would be ready,” Labat said.
