A woman accused of driving drunk at a speed over twice the speed limit and killing a South Carolina bride as she rode in a golf cart from her nearby wedding reception in April broke down in tears as a judge denied her bail, saying he believed she was a flight risk.

Jamie Komoroski, 25, appearing in court via live video, sobbed Tuesday as Judge Michael Nettles announced his decision. Members of the victim’s family, 34-year-old Samantha Miller, testified at the bond hearing in an emotional day Nettles described as “a very tragic situation for all concerned.”

Lisa Miller, Samantha’s mother, wiped away tears at the heart-wrenching hearing. “[Komoroski] didn’t just kill my child,” she reportedly said Tuesday. “She killed all of us.”

Komoroski is accused of driving 65 mph in a 25 mph zone in Folly Beach, South Carolina, on April 28 with a blood alcohol level more than three times the legal limit, according to a toxicology report reviewed by NBC News.

She reportedly hit the golf cart, which seated Samantha Miller, her just-married husband Aric Hutchinson, and two relatives. Police said the golf cart was legally allowed to be driven on the road.

Miller was pronounced dead at the scene, while Hutchinson sustained a brain injury and broken bones, his mother said in May.

Komoroski was reported to be unremorseful at the crash site, allegedly telling police officers, “I did nothing wrong,” per the New York Post.

She was charged with reckless vehicular homicide and three counts of driving under the influence, causing death or great bodily injury.

Nettles, on Tuesday, asked both the Komoroski and Miller’s families to find a way to expedite the trial, saying it would help “give closure to everybody,” WCSC reported.
