Democratic presidential contender Robert F. Kennedy Jr. received over $6 million in fundraising from Republican and Democratic donors in July.

American Values 2024, the newly formed super PAC backing RFK Jr.’s candidacy, announced Monday in a press release that it raised $6.47 million this month, most of which came in one day. Its fundraising total so far is $16.82 million.

HOUSE DEMOCRATS URGED TO TOUT ECONOMY TO IMPROVE REELECTION CHANCES

The release said people from both sides of the political aisle, including GOP megadonor Timothy Mellon and security specialist Gavin de Becker, have already donated to the super PAC.

“The fact that Kennedy gets so much bipartisan support tells me two things: that he’s the one candidate who can unite the country and root out corruption and that he’s the one Democrat who can win in the general election,” Mellon said.

De Becker agreed, saying the Democratic Party “sorely [needs] a candidate people can be enthusiastic about.”

Longtime Democrat Abby Rockefeller, a member of the wealthy Rockefeller family, also donated to RFK Jr.’s 2024 presidential bid.

American Values 2024 expects to receive between $80 million and $100 million in donations by the end of 2023, the press release noted.

On Friday, RFK Jr. claimed the White House denied him Secret Service protection, which is notable considering his uncle and father were assassinated in the 1960s. News of the security rejection came a week after RFK Jr. testified before the House Judiciary Committee on censorship and “weaponization” of the federal government.

Tony Lyons, the super PAC’s co-founder, said in the release that his organization garnered $5 million from donors during the July 20 congressional hearing alone.

“We will see that same kind of reaction from donors each time the [Democratic National Committee] and the Biden administration undertake dirty tricks against this presidential candidate,” Lyons added.
