Woman uses machete to turn tables on attacker following sexual assault

A Philadelphia woman used a machete Sunday to turn the tables on her alleged sexual assault attacker.
The incident occurred around 10:30 a.m. at a Best Western hotel in the city center after the suspect allegedly attacked the victim, according to a report.

The woman, identified as a 24-year-old, used the machete to strike the suspect, identified as a 43-year-old man, police said.

Both were taken to a local hospital, and a weapon was recovered at the scene.

While the suspect is purported to be stable, the woman’s condition is yet to be confirmed.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and the 43-year-old is under police custody.
