Country music star Jason Aldean’s wife, Brittany, blasted Balenciaga’s controversial ad campaign that featured young children posing near BDSM props for being “meticulously thought out” and “pure evil.”

Aldean appeared on Fox News’s Tucker Carlson Tonight on Monday, saying the situation cannot be taken too seriously.

“It’s absolutely worth taking seriously because every single detail of the photo shoot was meticulously thought out. I’ve been on photo shoots before. I know there are weeks of preparation, if not months,” Aldean said. “Every single prop and book and teddy bear, everything was meticulously thought out. Regardless if they say it was a mistake or not, it was not a mistake.”

Aldean affirmed her decision to toss out her Balenciaga clothing items last week, saying that while she loves fashion, she cannot support any company affiliated with child exploitation.

“I refuse to represent or wear a brand that has any affiliation — any affiliation — with sexual exploitation of children or the sexualization of children,” Aldean said. “It’s disgusting and what they showed us recently in their recent campaign is pure evil.”

Balenciaga has faced backlash over the ad campaign that also showed court documents from a Supreme Court ruling in the United States v. Williams child pornography case.

The clothing designer issued an apology on its Instagram story, saying, “We sincerely apologize for any offense our holiday campaign may have caused. Our plush bear bags should not have been featured with children in this campaign. We have immediately removed the campaign from all platforms.”

Balenciaga has also moved to sue the ad campaign’s production company and set designer for the inclusion of the court documents.

Aldean called for more people to stand up against Balenciaga.

“They have shown us who they are and it’s disgusting, and it’s evil. The common denominator here is we have to stand up and fight for our children,” she continued. “This is not political. This is not about religion. The common denominator here is to protect the children at all costs. Everybody should be outraged.”
