The return of the COVIDphobes hits theaters with Barbie and Oppenheimer debuts

Like sands through the hourglass, so too is the inevitable hysteria and societal resurfacing of the COVIDphobes — a group of people who pushed irrational and tyrannical fear on society under the guise of stopping the spread of the COVID virus.
And, months after data proved that much of their hyperbolic hysteria was flawed and incorrect, they resurfaced to spread their wrath of paranoia of the dangers of the COVID-19 pandemic.

First, the COVIDphobes came to destroy life’s simple pleasures after the return of college football in 2021. They frantically warned of the dangers of going to stadiums and sucked the joy of society returning to normal in 2021. They said that anyone who attended such games was going to essentially be an accomplice to murder.
It was almost as if they trotted around stadiums screaming, “Airborne droplets are coming, airborne droplets are coming,” to warn unsuspecting crowds of impending doom. Ultimately, no devastating widespread resurgences were attributed to college football crowds. It was all hysteria and paranoia, and they were wrong.
Now in the summer of 2023, it’s time for the sequel, and the COVIDphobes have reared their ugly heads. Audiences flocked to theaters to take in two of this summer’s most highly-anticipated films, Barbie and Oppenheimer. COVIDphobes sounded the alarm.
Dr. Peter J. Hotez sounded the alarm on Sunday, warning that crowds could increase COVID cases by going to movie theaters. More than two months after global and U.S. agencies officially declared an end to the COVID-19 emergency, Hotez presented his ominous warning about the movie premiere weekend.
“Not to be a Debbie Downer…but anyone worried about a post-BarbieBoxOffice Covid bump? Or post-Oppie? We’ll probably never know since no one seems to be keeping track of such things anymore. Keep up with your boosters and find a pink N-95 or KN-95 if you can,” Hotez tweeted.

Hotez’s medical expertise aside, who thinks like this? This is maniacal and delusional. It’s indicative of the world of fear these medical experts created during the pandemic. It seems these COVIDphobes were addicted to the fear and uncertainty of those times and cannot exist with this return to societal normalcy. It seems Hotez has a codependent relationship with the world fearing the COVID pandemic. He represents everything wrong with the worshippers who praised the experts and medical authoritarianism.
The COVIDphobes must not be allowed to gain any footing in everyday society. These are the same people who necessitated we “trust the science” in a cult-like fashion so it could progress into “trusting the tyrants.” Their time of useful idiocy has come to an end.
