John Bolton, the former national security adviser to former President Donald Trump, signaled his willingness to enter the race for the presidency in 2024.

Bolton told MSNBC’s Meet the Press Now “I’d like to see Shermanesque statements from all the potential candidates” on Trump’s recent comments on the Constitution.

“If I don’t see that, I’m going to seriously consider getting in,” he said of his future.

He further said the timeline for his decision on 2024 is going to be “pretty short.”

“When you challenge the Constitution itself, that is un-American,” Bolton tweeted after the appearance. “If the current GOP presidential candidates don’t repudiate Trump, I’m prepared to get in the race.”
