House Oversight Chairman James Comer (R-KY) indicated that the IRS whistleblowers testifying in the investigation into Hunter Biden and alleged political obstruction by the Justice Department are willing to hand over foreign transactions paperwork that could prove President Joe Biden was involved in a criminal bribery scheme.

Comer made the point to Fox News’s Sean Hannity Wednesday night as part of his summary of the House Oversight hearing, which took place earlier in the day and revealed the identity of one of the whistleblowers for the first time. Comer said of the evidence his committee has compiled, “All roads lead to Joe Biden.”

“Would you be willing to hand over the paperwork with respect to foreign transactions?” Comer recounted as his last question to the whistleblowers on Wednesday, then telling Hannity, “It’s been almost impossible for my committee to subpoena bank records from foreign countries. The IRS has that, and they are willing to turn that over to the Ways and Means Committee, who will hand it over to us.”

“That’s a big deal because we suspect that the Bidens had offshore bank accounts and that today was a huge development that will open up a new door for us to move forward in our investigation,” the Kentucky Republican added, saying he believes there’s “easily” $25 to 30 million or more tied to the Biden family in foreign business dealings.

The hearing Wednesday revealed new details about how the DOJ delayed elements of the Hunter Biden investigation and worked to evade transparency over its findings. The whistleblowers underscored how they were hamstrung from doing their jobs and even possibly retaliated against for their pursuit of the truth.

In June, Hunter Biden reached a plea deal on federal charges related to tax crimes and the illegal purchase of a handgun while he was an illicit drug user. However, many people believe President Joe Biden’s son was shown preferential treatment by avoiding prison time.

In his interview on Hannity, Comer made scathing accusations about the president and the federal agencies in the spotlight in the investigation, saying the IRS “has been obstructed from the start, and they have confirmed what I have been complaining about for months: Biden lawyers, DOJ, FBI, they are doing everything they can to intimidate witnesses, to obstruct our investigation.”

Republicans, including Comer, have been split on whether the DOJ should appoint a special counsel to look into the Biden family’s alleged criminality. The decision could have major implications on how the case moves forward.

What is clear with each passing day, though, is that the raincloud hanging over the president’s head as the investigation drags on is inauspicious for his chances of being reelected next year.
