
Amtrak train derails in Washington Union Station tunnel entrance

A derailed Amtrak train halted service on Tuesday morning, obstructing the railways between Union Station in Washington, D.C., and the station in Alexandria, Virginia.
The Washington Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department confirmed the train derailed in a tunnel at the entrance to Union Station, located at 50 Massachusetts Ave. NE. The incident was “minor in nature,” and no injuries were reported.
