Republicans have been quick to turn President Joe Biden‘s “Bidenomics” into a mechanism for jokes and mudslinging, calling out the president on everything from his family to the state of the economy.

The House Oversight Committee mocked Biden on Twitter on Wednesday, perpetuating allegations that Biden and his family took payments from foreign entities as part of an “alleged criminal scheme.”

Biden tweeted a “Bidenomics” definition on Twitter on Wednesday, and House Republicans released their own definition in response.

“This is Bidenomics, folks,” the GOP-led committee tweeted on Wednesday. “Bidenomics is when you and your family make millions from foreign nationals by providing what seems to be no services other than access and influence. It’s a strategy that involves setting up over twenty shell companies and having vice president Joe Biden as a family member.”

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) joined fellow Republicans in mocking the president, focusing his “Bidenomics” definition on the economy.

“Bidenomics is about blind faith in government spending and regulations,” McCarthy tweeted. “It’s an economic disaster where government causes decades-high inflation, high gas prices, lower paychecks, and crippling uncertainty that leaves Americans worse off.”

“Inflation reaches 40-year highs. This is Bidenomics, folks,” Rep. Bob Good (R-VA) tweeted.

Biden’s economic agenda push comes after a poll from the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research showed that only 1 in 3, or 34%, of U.S. adults approve of his economic leadership. The president’s approval rating sits at 41%, according to the survey.
