The Supreme Court rejected Ohio State University’s appeal in one of its latest decisions to allow over 230 men to sue the institution over a doctor’s sexual abuse.
During the last week of its term, the Supreme Court upheld two lawsuits against Ohio State which accused the university of failing to act against the late Richard Strauss. The university doctor allegedly abused hundreds of student-athletes over two decades, from 1978 to 1998.
Ohio State launched an investigation into the doctor and the university’s alleged knowledge of the abuse. Strauss committed suicide in 2005.
