Not all Venezuelans in the U.S. are happy about the recent surge of Venezuelan migrants illegally crossing the southern border.

“I won’t go to your home without your permission, but because you invited me or allow me,” Francys Chacón, who came to Manhattan from Venezuela in 2017 told Politico of migrants crossing the border now. “It’s not the correct thing.”

Daniel Di Martino, who came to the U.S. from Venezuela in 2016 agrees. “We are experiencing a disorderly massive migration process at the southern border and that is not a good thing for the United States,” Di Martino tells Politico. “We cannot simply have a policy where anybody who claims asylum is let into the country.”

And yet that is exactly what we have now. And it is clearly driving the current crisis.

Politico even admits: “During the height of Venezuela’s humanitarian crisis between 2014 and 2018, according to Customs and Border Protection data, apprehensions of Venezuelan migrants at the southern border never passed 80 people a year. But between January 2021 and September of this year almost 240,000 Venezuelans…arrived at the southern border, applied for asylum, and were admitted pending resolution of their cases.”

So it started in January 2021, you say? Gee, what happened in January 2021 that would have suddenly caused a massive influx of migrants from Venezuela to cross the southern border illegally?

“Venezuela’s current economic crisis is driving the exodus,” Politico reports in the next paragraph.

Wait — did Venezuela’s economy suddenly collapse in January 2021? No — Venezuela has been a hell hole for several years now.

Politico acknowledges that the “height” of the Venezuelan humanitarian crisis was between 2014 and 2018 and that no border surge materialized at that time. Only after President Joe Biden was sworn into office and then immediately started dismantling immigration enforcement did the current flood of Venezuelan migrants begin.

Biden is the sole cause of the border crisis. Politico’s own reporting makes it glaringly obvious. Why not just come out and say it?
