Actress and 20-year UNICEF Ambassador Alyssa Milano claimed Tuesday that Twitter owner and Tesla CEO Elon Musk could have ended world hunger had he donated $40 billion to UNICEF rather than purchasing the social media platform.

“Imagine if he donated that money to UNICEF. He would change the world. There would be no hunger,” Milano told the hosts of The View.

“I’m so annoyed with all of these billionaires,” she said. “Especially with Elon Musk.”

“You buy Twitter to destroy it for $40 billion,” Milano continued.

Asked about her recent tweet in which she announced that she got rid of her Tesla, she explained, “When he was accused of sexual misconduct and paid out $250,000 to this person, I decided, like, I can’t live in that hypocrisy of driving that car.”

The hosts then asked the actress whether she would remain on Musk’s social media platform. “We can’t cede that territory. It’s like a turf war. That’s how I look at it,” she said.

Whoopi Goldberg disagreed, however. “I’ll tell you, some things you have to walk away from until you can get the control you need of it. Right now, there’s no way to get this control. So find the ones that you can get and fix, and then come back and run that over,” she advised.

Milano further admitted, “I spent many days with my therapist, talking about Twitter and social media.”

The actress also offered her thoughts on the progress of the #MeToo movement, telling the hosts she isn’t happy with it just yet.

She elaborated that she wants an equal rights amendment to be passed so that equal protections for women are written into the Constitution.
