White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is giving a press briefing alongside National Security Council spokesman John Kirby.
The press briefing, which is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m., comes ahead of the vote in the House of Representatives regarding the debt ceiling deal President Joe Biden and House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) brokered over the weekend.

The White House and Congress appear likely to avert the U.S. from defaulting on its debt obligations as the deal makes its way through the House and Senate ahead of the June 5 “X-date” to pass a debt ceiling increase.
