Donald Trump court date in New York hush money case set by judge

A judge in New York has set the trial date for the criminal case against former President Donald Trump for early next year, approximately eight months before the 2024 presidential election.

The specific date for the trial will be March 25, 2024. Judge Juan Merchan read the order on Tuesday, telling the former president what he can and cannot say about the case. Trump attended the readout virtually through a video feed.
