Judge overseeing Maduro case dies at 92

Longtime Manhattan U.S. District Judge Alvin Hellerstein, who was overseeing the trial of former Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro, has died at 92.

Hellerstein was nominated to the federal bench in 1998 by then-President Bill Clinton. The case will now be randomly assigned to another judge.
