President Donald Trump is gleaming, golden — and naked, in a new European statue donned the “Orange Plague” displays the president completely exposed.
The golden statue was unveiled in front of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, Tuesday.
It shows the president sitting on the shoulders of a shorter, thinner man, described as “frail” on the artist’s website. Trump is holding a golf club in one hand, next to a “world-shaped golf ball.” Trump holds the scales of justice in the other hand.
The statue was created by Danish artist Jens Galschiot, who announced the sculpture on X Monday.

“We’ve taken one of my recent sculptures on the road. We are in Strasbourg,” Galschiot said. “Tomorrow I reveal the sculpture in the European Paliament. I hope it is well received and that it sparks a debate about friendship and power dynamics.”
According to the artist’s website, the Trump is coated in a 23-carat gold leaf, which Galschiot said “merely makes his nakedness shine brighter.”
In a photo Galschiot reposted from the SD i Europaparlamentet on X, the photo shows the unveiling of the statue along with a plaque in front of it.
The plaque is titled, “The Orange Plague.”
“I am sitting on the back of a man. He is sinking under my burden. I will do anything to help him, except step down from his back” – The King of Injustice,” the plaque reads.
“The far left has dragged an Orange Man Bad statue to the EU Parliament,” SD i Europaparlamentet said. “Apparently, the left-wing parties have nothing sensible to do with their mandates and choose to waste time and resources on this kind of virtue signaling.”
Galschiot responded by saying, “Well by their logic, wouldn’t that make any political statement or critical response virtue signaling?”
Galschiot posted on X Wednesday, saying he will be handing out 10,000 mini versions of the giant statue, which his website said are 3D printed. A photo he posted shows the mini statues in various colors such as gray, gold, pink, blue, black, and green.
A Danish member of the European Parliament Per Clausen also commented on the art exhibition, saying he stands behind challenging and exposing power.
ELENA KAGAN COMPARES BOULDER’S CLIMATE LAWSUIT TO BIG TOBACCO LAWSUITS
Galschiot said on his website that he chose Trump as the focus of the piece because “he is undermining the climate efforts, rolling back hard-won progress, and even destroying the scientific data that documents it. Worse yet, he is using power and economic pressure to discourage other nations from pursuing green initiatives — thereby weakening the global fight against climate change.”
The Washington Examiner reached out to Galschiot for comment.
