Former NFL players Colin Kaepernick and Ryan Clark can’t stop talking about slavery and racism.
It’s the latest race-baiting sermon by two of the most divisive, left-wing, bigoted names in professional sports. Never in the history of the world have two men who owe their current socio-economic status, fame, and fortune to a professional sports league done more to try to brand said league as an example of racism in the United States. It is arguably the silliest and most foolish social justice effort in the long history of foolish social justice efforts. The two have become obsessed with finding racism in places that don’t exist.
It’s indicative of the toxic rot that has infected the minds of millions of people in the U.S. It’s also suggestive of just how badly those two want racism to exist in the U.S. It’s the ugly little secret that most people are afraid to admit: People like Clark and Kaepernick want and need racism to exist so they can remain celebrities and maintain a shred of popularity and cultural relevance.
During an interview on Clark’s Pivot podcast, the recently-fired ESPN sports personality asked the forced-into-retirement former NFL quarterback about the latter’s stupid comments from his Netflix series Colin in Black & White.
“What they don’t want you to understand is what is being established is a power dynamic,” Kaepernick narrated in the 2021 series. “Before they put you on the field, teams poke, prod, and examine you, searching for any defect that might affect your performance. No boundary respected. No dignity left intact.”
As I wrote in 2023, “Only in the United States could a physical evaluation of athletes, many of whom get paid more in one year than what the average American earns in a decade, be considered discriminatory, intrusive, and compared to slavery. It is outright nonsensical and indicative of the horrible indoctrination in our nation.”
However, to further illustrate just how absurd their obsession with racism is, it should be noted that the series premiered in October 2021 — in the midst of the George Floyd racism riots and the peak of the scams and extortion, er, activism by Black Lives Matter. It should also be noted that Kaepernick’s series is nearly five years old at this point.
“When did you truly start to have the realization that, ‘Hey, this does, in this cinch, remind me of the slave trade?” Clark asked Kaepernick.
“When you get to the point that’s like, yeah, strip down to your drawers,” Kaepernick said. “‘Well, like, why do I need to do this?’ But also, I mean, guess this is what I have to do, and everybody is doing it like, all right, this is part of the process.”
“You have a high level sense of like, you know, it feels like it’s a meat market,” he added. “But, at that point in time, I didn’t have the historical perspective to be able to tie those together in such a parallel.”
Didn’t have a historical perspective? The institution of slavery has existed for millennia through every human civilization from ancient times to even today in Africa. Slavery ended in the U.S. in 1865. Kaepernick was born in 1987 and was selected, in the NFL slave trade, er, draft, in 2011. Did Kaepernick never attend a history class in 12 years of schooling or in 4 years of college? Had he never read a history book in his entire life before 2011? Heck, did he never see the movie Gladiator, released in 2000, which features a scene depicting a slave trade in the Roman Empire (because yes, slavery existed in the world before it occurred in North America).
We all know the answer to this. Kaepernick had every “historical perspective.” He just didn’t subscribe to the rabid, left-wing historical activist revisionism and indoctrination he is known for today.
Moreover, let’s also point out that there are white players drafted every year who also participate in the NFL Draft Combine that Kaepernick referred to as the slave trade. Why didn’t Clark or Kaepernick ever ask any white player about their experience? But we don’t have to because we all know why and are privy to the games and inflammatory stupidity of today’s left-wingers. White people’s experience at the NFL Draft Combine doesn’t fit the left-wing narrative Kaepernick and Clark are trying to advance.
Talk show host and veteran political commentator, Larry Elder, the “Sage of South Central,” called out Kaepernick’s foolishness with sagacious commentary on how insulting it is to compare slavery to the billion-dollar empire of the NFL.
“How insulting it is to people that actually were slaves to compare going into a sport voluntarily, with an agent, negotiating your contract,” Elder said. “The average NFL player makes around $2 to $3 million a year. I don’t think Kunta Kinte had an agent negotiating a contract with him to make $2 or $3 million a year.”
There’s absolutely no reason to talk about this other than Kaepernick’s desperate attempt to remain relevant and Clark’s unhinged and irrational obsession with racism. These are two agenda-driven, indoctrinated, and radical, left-wing, former-athlete activists hellbent on advancing a bogus social justice agenda and narrative, and resurrecting the fraudulent and phony “anti-racist movement.”
They provide absolutely zero positive contributions to the sociopolitical sphere of American society, other than seeking to stoke the flames of racial discontent. They are bitter malcontents desperately clinging to the left-wing rage of the past and trying to pull it into the present — and conveniently trying to make millions of dollars in the process.

There is so little racism in the U.S. currently that Kaepernick and Clark desperately want to create it or find it in areas where it does not exist. In this particular instance, they again chose the NFL. The professional sports league is so racist and bigoted that it has arguably done more to ensure black men succeed on and off the field, on the sidelines as coaches, and in the boardroom as front office executives than any organization in the country, and probably the world.
Clark and Kaepernick are race hustlers. They want and need the very thing they say they abhor to thrive. Without it, they would fade into irrelevance and cultural oblivion. Racism is their meal ticket. The country and the world will be a much better place when humans stop paying attention to these political charlatans and cast them into the ash heaps of history where they belong.
