Vice President JD Vance was interrupted by a protester during his speech at a rally for Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS) in Kansas.
It is unclear what the protester in Olathe, Kansas, was upset about, but he told reporters as security ushered him past the press pen that “Our president hates Jesus.”
“He decided to come in and lie about my very dear friend Doc Marshall,” Vance said of the protester, who apparently said something about Marshall. “The reality is that Doc Marshall has stood up for everyday Americans every single day.”
Vance also referenced a similar incident during last week’s Republican midterm convention in Dallas, where a protester disrupted his keynote address.
“The last time I gave a speech, and we had a guy who was interrupting, he had the common courtesy to bring a Mexican flag, so we knew where he stood,” he said.
Undeterred, Vance, who served in the Senate with Marshall, underscored President Donald Trump and Marshall’s respective records.
“For five years, Doc Marshall has fought tirelessly for the people of the great state of Kansas. As amazing as he is in public, in private, Roger Marshall is just as good a senator and just as good of a man,” he said. “He is the guy who tells the lobbyists, ‘I don’t fight for you. I don’t work for you. I work for the people in this room.’ And he means it every single day.”

Vance traveling to Kansas, a traditional Republican stronghold, though its current governor is a Democrat, comes amid reports that Marshall’s former OBGYN practice sued more than 700 patients for unpaid bills. Eighty-one of these patients were arrested.
“Roger has been the guy who comes to work every single day and fights for you, and in the process, he has made an incredible ally of our administration as we fought to implement the agenda that every single person in this room voted for in 2024,” he said. “This is a man who fights for you.”
