Twitch Streamer Hasan Piker reacted to a “meat pic” of himself featured in an advertisement aired during the Republican National Committee’s first-of-its-kind midterm convention.
An image of Piker posing in his underwear was included in a video played during the event that characterized Democrats as communists and made the streamer appear as representative of the entire party that is facing an ideological war.
Piker was on live stream during the convention and reacted to his image being shown to the entire Dallas arena with extreme shock.
“No! No! No! No! No! No!” Piker said. “No f***ing shot!”
Piker watched the ad, which included videos of the Communist Party of America and Trump proclaiming that socialism has “never ever worked.” A few moments later, a clip of Piker at an event, followed by a mirror picture of him in his underwear, appeared on a large screen. Piker’s underwear was blurred.
“They f***ing posted the meat pic,” Piker said. “No, yo! They posted the meat pic at the fucking Trump-a-palooza. Oh, what the f**k? No. They blurred my penis. I don’t know what else to say about this. This is — my meat pic is now history.”
“Barbaras and Debras are gonna see this and start thinking differently,” he added.
The original photo was posted by Piker to social media in November 2024. He posted the photo as part of a “progress update” after losing weight.
The GOP has painted Piker as the spokesman for left-wing candidates in the midterm elections, particularly Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul el Sayed, who invited the streamer to campaign events.
President Donald Trump also alluded to Piker in his nearly two-hour speech on Wednesday night, saying el Sayed campaigns with a “Marxist agitator, who says that America deserved 9/11.”
Piker is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America and later posted the underwear picture, unblurred, with the caption “Join DSA.” Piker said, “America deserved 9/11” in 2019, but later walked back the statement, saying that he “obviously” did not mean it. El Sayed has also disavowed the statement after facing pressure from Democrats and Republicans.
However, Piker seems unable to escape fierce opposition and condemnation from the GOP, which frequently referred to his 9/11 comment throughout the first night of the midterm convention.
